The Start to a New Season!

Hey everyone! It's been a very long time since I have last blogged so I'm going to summarize everything for you that has happened to me in the last year since last January. Before I start into my CRAZZYYY life style I want to let everyone know that I have recently redone my blog and have had time to think about the things I want to change in order to create a more efficent and fun blog! First things first, I have been told to cut down all the words and post more pictures. After all, a picture can make a thousand words. Alright. Here we go. I had a great season that included World Juniors in Crans Montana, Canadian Nationals in Nakiska and an exhausting last four races in Quebec to end the season in early April. Then, I awaited the call to tell me that the ski season really wasn't over yet and had qualified to compete against the best youngsters in Canada for a spot on the Canadian Prospect Team. After another week in Nakiska I headed home to attend my last 2 months of the real life; High School. I finished my last exam and headed straight out to Calgary that night to start dry land training with the National Team. Lived in Canmore for roughly three weeks, hit New Zealand for three, home for a week, then out to Chile for another three weeks. Home for three weeks of dry land in Collingwood with my coach and then back out to Nakiska, Alberta, which is basically what I call home now. Here I am, starting another season and excited as ever. Training is fun and all, but racing is really where I get excited. This year I have learned that I have to start to be a better loser. Sounds tedious but its true. I need to become a true professional and in order to do that I need to be able to deal with the ups and downs of the sport. I'm working on really staying positive and controlling my emotions. Physically I'm strong. Technique wise I'm right there and just need some fine tuning. Mentally, I have a long way to go and have tons of space for improvement and growth. Can't wait to start this crazy season. For now, thats it! Was a short replay of whats happened in my life in the last YEAR! AH its gone by so fast. Bye for now.
